The Dubai premiere of Ready on Wednesday night turned out to be an affair to remember. Being his first release after Dabangg the curiosity and excitement among the Dubai crowds infected not only Salman but also producers Bhooshan Kumar, Kishen Kumar and director Anees Bazmi who accompanied them.
Says Anees on Thursday morning after returning to Mumbai, “It as an experience not to be forgotten easily. There were as many people standing outside the four screenings we had in Dubai as there were inside the theatres. ”
Unfortunately the film's leading lady Asin couldn't accompany the Ready team to Dubai because of passport hassles.
Says Asin, “My passport has gone for my UK visa for Housefull 2 and it didn't come back to me in time for the Dubai premiere. Ah, bureaucracy and the delays. I was so looking forward to it, But what to do! I'm sure Salman made it rock. ”
Adds Anees, “It is strange that easily-recognizable celebrities too have to submit their passports for visas. One can understand the less visible members of the unit being asked to do so. But the heroine of a film? Anyway we missed Asin at Dubai. ”
